About the course

This 5-day Erasmus+ professional development course is designed to empower teachers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into their classrooms. Participants will explore various digital tools, platforms, and strategies to enhance student engagement, personalize learning, and improve teaching outcomes. The course emphasizes practical, hands-on experience, ensuring participants can immediately apply their new skills in their educational settings.

Course Content

This course provides teachers with essential skills to harness the potential of ICT in their classrooms. Participants will leave the course with practical knowledge and tools to create dynamic, engaging, and inclusive learning environments. By integrating ICT into their teaching practices, they will be able to foster collaboration, enhance student learning outcomes, and prepare their students for success in a digitally-driven world.

Morning (3 hours):

  • Welcome Session and Icebreaker Activity: “Your First Digital Footprint.”
  • Session 1: Importance of ICT in Modern Education – Benefits and challenges.
  • Session 2: Overview of ICT Tools – Exploring tools like Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, and Canva.

Afternoon (3 hours):

  • Workshop: Setting Up Your Digital Classroom.

    • Group Reflection: Sharing Experiences with ICT in Education.

Morning (3 hours):

  • Session 1: Creating Engaging Presentations – Tools like Canva, Prezi, and Google Slides.
  • Session 2: Digital Resources for Interactive Content – Kahoot, Quizizz, and Mentimeter.

Afternoon (3 hours):

  • Workshop: Designing an Interactive Lesson Using Digital Tools.

    • Peer Review and Feedback on Designed Lessons.

Morning (3 hours):

  • Session 1: Collaborative Tools for Group Work – Google Workspace, Padlet, and Trello.
  • Session 2: Gamification in Education – Using games and simulations to enhance learning.

Afternoon (3 hours):

  • Hands-On Activity: Creating a Gamified Learning Activity.

    • Discussion: Strategies to Foster Collaboration in the Digital Classroom.

Morning (3 hours):

  • Session 1: Best Practices for Online Classroom Management – Keeping students engaged and disciplined.
  • Session 2: Ensuring Digital Safety – Protecting students’ data and privacy online.

Afternoon (3 hours):

  • Workshop: Creating a Digital Safety Policy for Your Classroom.

    • Group Activity: Role-Playing Online Classroom Scenarios.

Morning (3 hours):

  • Session 1: Integrating ICT Across Subjects – Practical examples and case studies.
  • Session 2: Planning for the Future – Staying updated with emerging technologies.

Afternoon (3 hours):

  • Group Project: Designing an ICT-Integrated Lesson Plan.

    • Closing Session: Presentations, Reflection, Feedback, and Certificate Distribution.
