About the course
This 6-day training programme is designed to equip educators with evidence-based strategies to prevent peer bullying in school settings. The course brings together key elements of Finnish anti-bullying approaches, peer mediation practices, and positive education to support the creation of safe and inclusive school climates. Through a combination of theory and hands-on workshops, participants develop practical skills and design action plans that can be directly implemented in their own schools.

Course Content
This course equips educators with practical tools and evidence-based strategies to prevent peer bullying and promote safe, inclusive school environments. Participants gain hands-on experience with KiVa-based practices, peer mediation techniques, and positive education approaches. Through interactive sessions and collaborative activities, teachers develop skills to strengthen student belonging, improve school climate, and implement sustainable anti-bullying action plans in their own institutions.

- Course introduction, participant school presentations, and ice-breaking activities
- Overview of Finland’s holistic approach to bullying prevention and educational philosophy
Afternoon (3 hours):
- National anti-bullying policies and frameworks
• Reflection and group discussion

- Introduction to KiVa as an evidence-based anti-bullying model
- Core principles and theoretical framework of KiVa

- Workshop: Implementing KiVa classroom activities and lessons
